Classic Movie Screening & Book Signing!

Screening of 1954 big bug sci-fi classic THEM! starts at 4:30p, with a reception and book signing to follow in the Marcus Palace Take Five Lounge (approximately 6:15p)!
My debut novel, TICK TOWN, will be released by Castle Bridge Media on June 24 in paperback and Kindle, and I’m planning a book launch event that following weekend on Saturday, June 28.

When I wrote TICK TOWN, I was inspired by the gonzo pulp horror paperbacks of the 1970’s and 1980’s, as well as the classic creature feature sci-fi movies of the 1950’s and 1960’s. In particular the big bug paperbacks and movies like TARANTULA, THE DEADLY MANTIS, EARTH VS. THE SPIDER, and especially the
1954 classic THEM! So when it came time to plan my upcoming book launch event, I thought it would be a great idea to celebrate one of those great sci-fi classics!
So please join me on Saturday, June 28, for a big-screen screening of the 1954 classic flick THEM! at the Marcus Palace Cinema in Sun Prairie (2830 Hoepker Road Sun Prairie, WI). The screening will begin at 4:30p, followed at approximately 6:15p by a book signing and reception at the Palace’s Take Five Lounge.
Special guest Rob Thomas (City Cast Madison) will introduce the movie.
The screening is free when you bring in a paperback copy of TICK TOWN (or buy one at the theater). Each paperback copy of TICK TOWN is good for two seats to the screening.
And, if you’re not interested in the movie, feel free to just come for the signing and reception, starting at around 6:15p in the Palace’s Take 5 Lounge. It’s free and open to all!
