I’m incredibly proud and excited that my debut novel, TICK TOWN, has been nominated for a Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award. TICK TOWN, which is my love letter to the big bug sci-fi horror movies of the 1950’s and the pulp horror paperbacks of the 1970’s, has been nominated in the category “Best Classic Monster Fiction”.
Now I need your help! PLEASE VOTE FOR TICK TOWN!
Voting for the Rondos is done by email, so to cast your vote for TICK TOWN, here’s what you need to do:
1. Email your vote to taraco@aol.com.
2. Subject line: “TICK TOWN for Best Classic Monster Fiction”.
3. Write a brief message, which can be as simple as: “I’d like to cast my vote for TICK TOWN in the category of Best Classic Monster Fiction.”
4. You must include your name, and you can only cast one vote per person!
Please note that you don’t have to vote in any other categories if you don’t want to. But if you do want to find out more and vote in additional categories, you can find out more HERE.
And although voting is limited to one vote per person, you certainly can encourage other members of your household to vote, as well! Please help me round up as many votes as possible!
Voting ends at midnight on May 1, but the sooner you can get to it the better.
Thanks so much! Now GO VOTE!

Rondo Hatton (April 22, 1894 – February 2, 1946) was a classic horror icon who rose to fame in the 1940’s due to his unique facial features, which were the result of the growth disorder acromegaly. Though he appeared in twenty-eight films over two decades, he is best known for his portrayal of “The Creeper” in the Universal Studios horror films HOUSE OF HORRORS (1946) and THE BRUTE MAN (1946).
